Dallas, Texas black metal quartet Wyrm Chasm will release its self-titled debut full-length album on October 23, 2026, independently on vinyl, CD, and digital formats.

Formed in March 2015 by guitarist Eric Carrasco and bassist/vocalist Stephen Jeter, Wyrm Chasm combines atmospheric and melodic black metal with aggressive percussion, emotionally charged riffing, and the cold, oppressive atmosphere associated with the genre's darker traditions.

"We've crafted our eponymous album into a melodic, yet atmospheric release that fully represents our sound and attack," the band explains.

The eight-track album features the songs "Netjer," "Fall of Gaia," "Throned Entropy," and "Spiraling Decay," among others. Wyrm Chasm recorded the material at Razor Throne Studio in Austin, Texas, with mixing and mastering handled by S.A.M. Studios in Dallas. Mark Erskine of Erskine Designs created the album artwork.

The current lineup includes Stephen Jeter on bass and vocals, Eric Carrasco on guitar, Dale Childs on guitar and backing vocals, and Buddy Griffin on drums.

Fans of Wolves in the Throne Room, Winterfylleth, Emperor, and Mgła may want to keep this release on their radar.

Wyrm Chasm arrives October 23, 2026, with pre-orders available now through the band's Bandcamp page.
