Wyrm Chasm Unleashes Self-Titled Debut Album
Wyrm Chasm Brings Atmospheric Black Metal From Dallas on October 23

MetalCrawlspace.com Dallas black metal quartet Wyrm Chasm will release its self-titled full-length debut album on October 23, 2026, independently on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
Formed in March 2015 by guitarist Eric Carrasco and bassist/vocalist Stephen Jeter, Wyrm Chasm has spent the past decade developing a sound rooted in atmospheric and melodic black metal. The band combines icy ambience, emotionally charged riffing and furious percussion into something built for listeners who gravitate toward the colder, more expansive side of extreme metal.
“We've crafted our eponymous album into a melodic, yet atmospheric release that fully represents our sound and attack,” the band says.
Wyrm Chasm cites Winterfylleth, Wolves in the Throne Room, Emperor and Mgła as points of reference, which gives a pretty clear picture of the terrain here: sweeping atmosphere, blackened aggression and melody woven through the violence.
The eight-track album opens with “Netjer,” followed by “Fall of Gaia,” “Throned Entropy,” “Duality of Existence,” “Majestas,” “Eyes of the Eternal,” “Spiraling Decay” and closing track “Light at the End.”
The album was mixed and mastered at S.A.M. Studios in Dallas, with tracking completed at Razor Throne Studio in Austin. Mark Erskine of Erskine Designs created the album artwork.
Wyrm Chasm features Stephen Jeter on bass and vocals, Eric Carrasco on guitars, Dale Childs on guitars and backing vocals, and Buddy Griffin on drums.
Wyrm Chasm arrives October 23, 2026.
