Prevailer to Release Debut Album 'Convalescent'

New Jersey progressive metalcore outfit Prevailer will release their long-awaited debut full-length, Convalescent, on August 28, 2026 through Rottweiler Records.
Formed in 2015, Prevailer first surfaced with their self-titled EP in 2016 before spending the ensuing years releasing singles and developing the lineup and sound that ultimately shaped Convalescent. The new album features eight tracks built around crushing metalcore, progressive twists, melodic hooks and an intensely cathartic lyrical approach.
Opening track “Diseased Frames” immediately establishes the album’s balance of aggression and atmosphere, moving between massive drums, snarling guitars, harsh vocals and a melodic chorus. First single “Into The Furnace” pushes deeper into jagged rhythms and twisting riffs, while tracks including “Conflux” and closing track “Inversion” drive the record toward increasingly heavy territory. The title track offers a brief atmospheric break amid the surrounding intensity.
The band describes a record centered around confrontation, struggle and recovery, using the expansive framework of progressive metalcore to move between punishing heaviness and uplifting melody.
