SICKSENSE Confront Loss and Faith on Haunting New Single 'A Moment of Violence'

SICKSENSE have released “A Moment of Violence,” the latest track from their forthcoming EP, Funerals, due September 25, 2026.
The song centers on grief, mortality, and the spiritual friction that follows the loss of someone close. According to the band, the track wrestles directly with questions of suffering, faith, and the difficulty of reconciling belief in a loving higher power with sudden death.
Musically, “A Moment of Violence” closes Funerals on a more somber note. Vicky Psarakis opens the track with piano and vocals against thunderstorm ambience before the arrangement expands with orchestration, including violin from bassist Richard Regier, and eventually erupts into a full-band breakdown.
The four-track EP continues SICKSENSE’s blend of metalcore, nu metal, djent, atmospheric electronics, and dual-vocal dynamics. The band currently features Psarakis and Robby J. Fonts on vocals alongside guitarist Jackson Snowden, Regier on bass, and drummer Sam Neumann.
Funerals arrives September 25.
